About Us

Our parent company, Epilog, was founded in Poway, CA by father-and-son team Michael and Lance Mojaver. Working out of a garage, we built the world's first 12K, 60fps camera using a novel approach that stitched multiple image sensors behind a single lens.

That breakthrough led to an AI-powered security camera capable of monitoring large areas in extraordinary detail. After Honda's Xcelerator Program evaluated and validated our approach, we adapted the technology into a self-driving system designed for existing vehicles with minimal hardware changes.

SideCar first shipped in 2024 as a drop-in replacement for the rearview mirror cover in the Toyota Corolla, RAV4, and Highlander.

Demand quickly exceeded our build capacity, and work started on the current version, a dashcam design that works with many more cars and is much easier to manufacture at scale.
